My lifelong passion and appreciation for nature is reflected in my photographic art. I only work with the highest quality responsibly sourced materials to bring you as much of a sustainable product as possible and that supports something that is precious to us all……nature.
I have spent the last 5 years developing my brand and taking time to find the right suppliers who believe in what i want to achieve. I have 5 clear goals to help me focus on my pledge:
- Help protect our fragile planet
- Source materials that are sustainable
- Encourage thoughtful investment, buy to last

- Change mindset and the importance of living sustainably
The products i have chosen from my suppliers and the printers themselves all have there own sustainable/environmental policies.
What is your returns policy?
Please note each print is made to order, so returns/refunds are not accepted.
However in the unlikely event the print arrives to you damaged, we will send a replacement at our cost. We will, however, require some images of the damage so we can resolve this with the courier before resending. To arrange this please contact us at sarahw@thegatheringbee.com.
What is a limited edition print?
A limited edition is only printed in a limited number at a specific size, making the item both unique and highly collectable. When an
edition sells out, it will not be reprinted again in the same size. My limited edition prints are signed, numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity. Once sold out it will not be available again.
With regards to open edition, there are no restrictions on quantity, but they are still individually printed and are the same quality as the limited edition. They are, however, not numbered and signed and do not have the certificate.
Do you offer bespoke sizes?
Within reason yes i can. The maximumn size would be dictated by my overall file size. I can also look at bespoke crops if you prefer a portrait or panoramic crop, but please be aware parts of the image would be cropped to accomodate for this. Please contact me on the above email if you require further information.
What materials do you use?
Each limited edition print is bespoke printed to order in the UK/Europe by an award winning printer known for their peerless quality and used by many galleries and artists.
Each print is accuratley reproduced, with every colour going through a precise colour management system to produce superier quality Giclee prints that with appropriate care can last 80 years plus.
Printed on 310gsm Hahnemuhle German Etching archival museum quality fine art paper known for its tactile feel watercolour style surface and superior finish.
What is your creative process?
The vision is the start of my process and this means finding the right location to capture in my art.
I like to travel to remote locations and drive many miles to find the most idyllic beaches that not only capture the colours and landscape i need, but also convey the right mood, feeling and light for me seascape art.
I will then spend many hours with my camera using a form of abstract photography called "ICM - Intentional camera movement", to capture an image that gives me the painterly impressionist style look that i love to explore. Its completely addictive and no two images are the same, so there is a lot of editing to find just the right one to take to the next stage.
Once home the second part of my photographic art is developed. Many hours are spent editing and nurturing the final piece which combine multiple images and exposures, dreamy textures and colour enhancement to get the perfect result.
The final and most exciting part is printing the finished piece, its when the image comes alive by combining the beautiful texture of archival watercolour style papers and the amazing colour and details that can only be seen by using a giclee print technique.
